Genx 6000 LOUD

Hello everyone. I have been reading and learning for a while now and I just actually set up my tank. Quick question, the sump GenX 6000 is so loud. Is there anyway to keep the noise down??

If this is for a return pump for a 65 gallon tank, then I'd get a smaller, quieter, and more efficent pump. It is a waste of energy (heat), noise, etc. to try to get aquarium flow from a return pump because you are using energy to overcome gravity. Take a look at the Ocean Runner 2500, or an eheim 1250. Both would be fine return pumps for a 65 gallon.

Oh, and one other point on the genx 6000 -- at 130 watts, that is like having a 130W heater on continuously. Something like the OR 2500 (38 watts) would be easier to accommodate without experiencing heat issues.
