german blue polyp montipora help

I am having the worst trouble with this aquacultured german blue polyp, it came with a frag pack from live aquaria, and all the others are doing fine. I tried it in brighter light, tried it in lower light, tried it in mostly actinic light. Does it need high flow and lower lighting, right now it is almost fully bleached, with the polyps retracted , but it's definitely still alive. Water params are fine, polyps are fully out on many other different sps, and monti's.

well since it's bleached, I'd say to move it in lower light w/ med flow and keep it there for a few months.

All the moving could be stressing it out.

I agree, Ive had some for a couple of years. For me it is most colorful under very high light and prety high flow. Maybe yours got used to the lower light and bleached from the sudden change to higher light. Good luck

Yeah, definitely needs high light to keep its blue, but sounds like you shocked it. Low light until the bleaching resolves and then move it up!
