Any tricks to getting rics to grow in a mat faster. Had two for over a year and they dont want to split, they're happy but just havent changed

slice them in half with a razor scoring several times in the same spot
Then blow them with a turkey baster.
Wait a few days and do it again, if the ric looks healthy but has not split.
A lot of times they grow back together, so you might want to slice in the middle, then directly on the left and right side of the cut.
you'll get it eventually. a lot of times I make 3 cut's out of a large ric, I would not suggest it with out practice, or on a single prized ric you can't afford to lose.
Here's a pic of my yuma I sliced this way. you can slightly see that it is now 2 polyp's.
It's been healing for 3 week's time now.
