Jason I believe I am about to give you the best piece of advice possible on your question. Should I go bigger ?
You should go as big as you can afford. More water voulme will dilute more problems and you will be able to keep your water more stable. If you get a 3-8 gallon tank youll end getting more stuff (corals & fish) than you had planned on in the begining. (We all do that) and youll then wish you had bought a bigger tank so you could have more stuff. Save your self some time and money and get the most to work with the first time you buy. You will always want to get a bigger tank but for what your wanting to do I would highly suggest you get a 29 gallon if your wanting a nano tank. Just me talking but I think I gave you the best answer possible. I wish you the best.
Jason, if you can come to the meeting this weekend in Murfreesboro, you can join then, or you can pay online if you like at mtrc.org and follow the pay your dues link to paypal.
Then you can check out the small tanks at aquatic critter and get 10%off. have not compared those prices, but it is another chance to look for fish & tanks
