Getting back into it

I'm looking to get back into the game. I have couple of ideas and looking for options.

I currently have from the past
150mh, still works. Will get new bulb.
20lbs of old live rock
24g aqua cube
12g nano cube with false wall removed
10g sump

My 12g is in better shape so far from I see, glass is clean and clear.
24g the glass is scratched in places like on front of tank and in the middle of viewing. Not pretty at all.

I was thinking of using my 12g and drilling the back of it for sump.
Now how much overkill is my 150mh for this tank. I had running on 24g and was able to keep everything alive and healthy.

I was looking on eBay for cheaper options on led lights for the 12g but I don't know much about LEDs.
Any and all helpfully info is much appreciate it

In theory it's fine. Depending on how large the fixture is it may look a little off balance, but as far as usability, it's fine.

That's what I was thinking too but I wasn't sure and questions are free lol. Trying to go cheap and reuse everything I already have.

For old dry rock, what is the best way to reuse it. I will be adding fresh live rock to the system with new live sand.

If it was stored out of the elements, rinse it well and add it with the new rock. Just give it an extra couple of weeks to colonize with bacteria.
