getting back into salt water.

Regardless of potential knowledge. The way they treat and sell their non aquatic (and in some cases) aquatic creatures is deplorable to say the least. Not to mention the fact they have no problem stocking and selling extremely irresponsible exotics to anybody who walks in such as baby alligators.... I honestly do not mnow how they are even permitted to be in business at all.
This. 1000 times this.

I was just there the other day. The reptile section looks great, what do you have an issue with? Their display tanks look good. Their fish are generally healthy, I never lost one fish from then from disease. I've purchased over 15 fish for mutliple tanks over the past two years from them. Lol so let's crush them for selling animals in an extremely niche market. They obviously wouldn't sell them if there wasn't a market for them. They have a right to sell as much as the customer has a right to buy. Have you even been there lately? I know they were sketchy at best in the past but they are not the same store.

Every time I have visited there it has been the opposite. Sick fish. Sick reptiles.

Last time I was in there they had a chameleon with a prolapsed cloaca bleeding out in the cage.

Ich rampant in their displays.

Large red tail catfish confined to 20 long tanks without room to even turn around.

And selling gators is just inexcusably irresponsible.

No thanks. I'll save my business for reputable stores that make better decisions with their livestock.

They have the right to sell what they like, but make no mistake that I have, and exercise, my right not to patronize them.

When was the last time you were there? Ive only seen them have fish with ich once. They had a grouper come in that someone traded in and had it. they didnt sell any fish from that system and kept them seperated. I think saying ich rampant in their display is a gross overstatement. i never once was sold any fish with ich or seen in any of their reef tanks ich. Its ok if you dont go, they have a ton of loyal customers and they been in business for a long time. Even my "hard to keep" fish are still alive from there. weird...

 blah..blah..blah..I've heard this all before. Search the pmasi threads here on RC a few years back and then a few years farther back. Same topic. Every few years it is the same story with those guys.

Some member posts... "They're really cleaning up the store, new setups and displays, awesome fish and corals, they really care, etc..."

Sorry, the place is a hole in the wall. I won't waste my time or money there.

If they meet your standards, good for you. Keep buying their awesome high end colored sticks and fish. More for you right?

In addition to their putrid treatment of all their livestock in general, their disgusting dirty store front/restaurant, I for one prefer not to be part of any possible unannounced police raid by the local authorities while doing my reefer shopping.

But hey what do I know, I've only been doing this hobby 40 years or so. I haven't seen much.:headwallblue:

About 6, maybe 8 months ago. I've been there multiple times. Same story every time.

All of that aside, selling gators is reason enough for me to never shop there. I won't support anyone that sells an animal so poorly suited to being kept as a pet.

Their loyal customers, and the local enforcement, can have them.

Oh one other thing. The first time I went there was because they were listed as a dealer for Aqua Illumination. So I stopped by.

Service was awful. I waited forever for someone to help me in a not very busy store. When someone did finally come by I was informed that they stopped selling AI a while ago but would be happy to charge me twice as much for some no name LEDs made by some random guy.

Old bait and switch. No thanks.
