Hey all,
I've been out of the hobby about 5 years now, and I'm looking to get back into it.
I have a 7g bowfront that I'd like to use, probably hooked up to a 5g or so fuge. The lighting tech has changed a lot in the last 5 years, with LEDs no longer being a "you kids get off my lawn!" idea but mainstream now.
I'm not looking at anything terribly fancy; no SPS, the only possible LPS is maybe Manicina areolata, and even that is mighty big if. Mostly I'm interested in whatever comes in on the live rock from TBS Saltwater.
I'm not in a good position for DIYing, and I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for:
- LED lighting
- Filtration - I've been considering an ATS since a lot of what comes in from TBS are filter feeders. I'm not a 100% sure I'll use a skimmer (if I do, it'll be the Remora HOT skimmer I already own).
The goal is also to keep the cost reasonable, so really nothing over $200, and even that is way over what I'm looking at.
