getting best air pull from skimmer

i have a octopus dnwb recirc 150. i was wonderin what kind of mods can be done to the pump for airpull. i was thinking about drilling out the venturi so i could possibably hook up large air line to it. how much more would the mesh weel pull. pump is otp 2000. +also is there a way to i8mpr9ove the pinwheel, it looks kind of cheap compared to others ive seen. anybody know if i could get- a sicce or askoll on here?--

Look at this...this is my MSX200...put in a purple pinwheel on the Sicce2500 and got rid of tubing, due to wall resistance along the length of tube...replaced with gravel vacuum nozzle...
