Getting first mantis

I set up a ten gallon nano and would like to get a mantis. I placed an order for one at my lfs and they are going to get me a small florida mantis.

I have done alot of reading, but can you give me any advice? Is it a good idea to create a nice pvc pipe home for him?

i have my mantis in a 10gal. what i did was run some pvc along the back of the tank with some "T"'s and elbows coming out toward the front of the tank. then i covered it with rock rubble and sand... he closed off the openings he didn't like with rubble.. he ventures out occasionally, especially at dinner time...
