Getting Glass Baffles Cut

I've got a used glass tank that I'm planning on converting into a sump/fuge. I need to get some glass cut for baffles - the inside width of the tank is 17 3/8" - should I get the glass cut a bit less than that? If so, how much less?

go about 1/8"... that way you have about 1/16" on each side for the silicone

I'm thinking about using a store bought 55gal as a sump for my 140 in-wall currently under construction.

Do you know where I can get plans/advice on building such a sump?
