getting out of hobby sale

It is with great sadness that Lori and I are going to be getting out of the hobby for a while after 6 years. It was great meeting all of you. Its just too much for us to take care of, and we just don't have enough interest or spend much time with it anymore.

That being said, I am first trying to sell the livestock and would like to have it sold within another 2 weeks or so. This is for locals/pickup only! Will not ship!

Equipment will be avaialble ONLY after the livestock is sold.

bright green plating hydnophora (stuck on fairly large piece of rock that must come with it)

Acro Insignus (deep bluish green w/ blue tips)

Still a bunch of zoos, but in small quantities (except for one or two varieties that I have a bunch of)

Update:

All that is left are ~50 lbs live rock ($2/lb), 2 green digi frags (free), and I was able to get the purple monti cap cleanly off of the overflow in 1 large piece attached to a nice rock ($20).

I'll be starting to take the tank down tonight .. but will be keeping the sump, fuge, and another small tank running downstairs if anyone wants anything.

Equipment for sale (all prices for pickup only .. I don't want to ship most of this stuff):

120 AGA reef ready, newer style with back overflows, 1.5 years old, I'm the only owner and purchased it new $200

Aquastarlight 2x250 MH fixture w/ hangers, 2x20k AB bulbs (one is only ~2 months old), rewired with an external Sunlight Supply Blue Wave VII dual magnetic HQI ballast (the original wiring and ballast had problems, I used extremely high T wire internally and made it safe) $300

Icecap 430 + 3x4 foot URI actinic bulbs (only a few months old) & waterproof endcaps + 2x4 foot T5 actinics + reflectors + waterproof endcaps $175

I will have 2 Tunze 6000 Streams + multicontroller and photosensor for sale later this week. Also lots of heaters, powerheads and other pumps, Caribsea sand, Rubbermaid Brutes, and lots of other supplies available soon. Let me know if you are interested in anything mbortner@vt.edu
