Getting out of the hobby in Sandusky. $1,500 for entire system.

My wife and I recently fell into an opportunity to move up to a larger boat. But it needs some work, which means I just don't have the time to maintain my reef anymore. I'm looking to sell everything as a complete system. Please don't ask if I'll part anything out; it's all being sold together.

The system started as a peninsula room divider. It sat on a bar in my old condo and was viewable from 3 sides. When we moved into our house, I put it up against a wall and used automotive window tint to black out the back of the tank. The automotive window tint can easily be removed to turn the tank back into a peninsula.

Tank: 12"x12"x48" acrylic eurobraced tank. I sectioned off 8" of the end with black acrylic and created an AIO filtration chamber with 2 baffles and room for a Tunze Nano Skimmer, Jager heater, new circulation pump, Tunze Osmolator floats, and ATO inlet. Automotive window tint is used on this filtration section so you can't see into it. However, with a flashlight, you can easily see everything inside in order to do maintenance. A stock metal stand is included.

Lighting: Catalina UltraLight fixture with 150MH and 2x65W PCs. I currently run a Phoenix 14K and two actinic power compacts.

Extras: Vortec MP40, Tunze Osmolator, Tunze Nano Skimmer, remote ATO reservoir, various LocLine parts and pieces, hoses, etc.

Coral: Three rose bubble tip anenomes, medium green leather, small green leather, countless blue mushrooms, little frags of Duncan, frogspawn, kenya tree. Tons of green star polyps that I'm constantly trying to keep on the sand and off the rocks.

Livestock: Small yellow tang, small tomato clown bonded to the anemones, two ocellaris clowns, one green chromis, one coral banded shrimp.

Price: I'm asking $1,500 for all of it. This is a great price for all of the various parts and pieces. And if you're looking for a phenomenal standalone setup for a quarantine tank or frag tank, it doesn't get any better than this.

Here is a link to the photo album of the progression of this system from creation to today. I apologize for the poor quality of pictures; I used an iPhone. And the glass is absolutely filthy right now! But trust me, it cleans up beautifully if you have the time to maintain it!! :)

I would rethink the parting out... I think you will sell things much faster... And potentially could make much more than your package price...

Craig, I agree. But I'm honestly more concerned with getting rid of everything than I am with making money on it. Last time I parted out a system I got stuck with a basement full of the stuff no one wanted. So this time, I want to make sure it all goes.

Zucker If you want to sell the whole thing and need an ATO for it to make sense for you, I could trade you a JBJ ATO plus some cash for the osmolator. Otherwise I will just take the Osmolator. Thanks!

Alright, I have had very little interest in the entire system. So lets change the plan a little bit. Now I'm willing to sell all livestock first. Once the livestock is gone, then I'll part everything out.

As for pricing on the livestock; you tell me. I know some of those things have virtually no value and those are free to a good home (mushrooms, star polyps, etc). If someone wants a fish or an anemone or a leather, give me whatever you think it's worth and it's yours. And the rock that any of those items are attached to will go with you. First-come first-serve.

I obviously can't let the osmolator go until the livestock is gone. But once the livestock is gone and I can drain the tank, you're first on the list.
