Getting ready to stock a 75. Idea's wanted!

I am getting ready to start adding fish to my 75 gallon reef. I have about a 125 pounds of live rock and a 100 pounds of southdown sand. So far I know I would like to have

2 percula clowns
six line wrasse
mandarin dragonet
yellow watchman goby
blue hippo tang
yellow tang

Is this list possible in a 75? Any other suggestions welcome?

for a 75 gal you should only go with one tang

Ok i'll probaly just get the yellow tang then. I will have some hermits and snails and cleaner shrimp.

Good choice the hippo will get way to big for a 75.. I would add the yellow tang last and also the sixline last before the rest of your fish.. i would only get the mandarin after you your tank has settle for a few months and you have good fuge. Everything else sounds find to me.

I would not get the wrasse and the mandarin--one or the other. The wrasse will directly compete with the mandarin for food and is much better at prey capture. If you do decide on a mandarin, I would heed yoboyjdizz's advice about it.

Hey mike, sounds like a good list except the mandarin. Never tried one myself, but they can be picky eaters and sometimes only eat live pods. Do some reaearch on them firts.

As far as the tangs, you'll find differing opinions on here. Genrally, the Hippo tangs can get very big. But it takes awhile. Your tank reminds me of my last tank - a 75g one. I started out with a Clown, a Yellow Tang, and a Hippo. Still have all three today in my large tank! They did fine in my 75. If youre planning on upsizing eventually, its ok. At some point, they'll run out of room. Also, i bought a juvenile (small) Hipppo so that also helped.

Something i forgot to add... I've read to many stories of people's sixline harrasing and killing their mandarins.

Thanks for the help everyone. I will probaly skip the madarin and the hippo tang. I already have the six line in another tank so he is definately going into it. thanks again
