Gha problem

Hey guys I'm having a gha problem in my tank, but for some reason it's not on the rock but all over the sand bed. I recently started running Gfo and put a ball of cheato back in my fuge. Is the sand bed not good? The tanks 8 months old phosphates are reading low but I'm guessing the are getting spent by gha. Any advice on what I can do?

Manually remove GHA, continue to run GFO. I would change the GFO biweekly in the beginning. And, monthly if needed. Good luck and happy reefing.

Is it crushed coral or aragonite?

It's Fiji pink aragonite

Siphon the you know what out of the sand with water changes and run some phosban or something to remove phosphates. Sand is probably holding and releasing all kinds of phosphates
