Ghost overflow question

I put water in my display to start cycling tank but not high enough to start flowing into overflow box. When I woke up this morning there was water in the back of box dripping into sump from bottom of emergency pipe where it connects to box. Stupid question I know but how did water get into back of box but not going through bulkhead.

probably leaking through the bulkheads..

Where did you place the rubber washer? (Id expect 2 actually per bulkhead).. one on each side directly on the glass surfaces between the box and glass on each side

There are 2. One on each side.

Well.. could be dirt, a little flash/burr from manufacturing,etc.. in there or bulkheads not tightened properly,etc..
Its just going into the external box so I wouldn't worry about it personally..

Now if its leaking on the floor then I'd do something..

I drained some water to make sure gaskets on right and they are. Don't see any water dripping on floor. Guess I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks
