Giant Hawkfish

Unfortunatley my fuscus ripped an antenna off the dragon eel and it died a few days ago.

Man im sorry to hear that. That was a beautiful eel.

Also the garibaldi was eaten by the giant hawkfish.

O_O are you serious? It looked like the damsel was to big to fit in its mouth? Well thats scary.

I saw a picture of a giant hawkfish for sale that had a white base color, which made the golden chains pop. Was this the coloring when you got yours as a juvi?

I love your tank, great set up. Love the way the eels are able to go in and out of the caves, looks very natural.

Awe couldnt see the hawk til like 15 secs left. Maybe cause im on my phone.

And i think thats like 450g right? Do you have all your filtration stuff under the tank or an actual room on the otherside of the behind the tank with all your stuff?

all my filtration is under the tank in an acrylic stand thats water tight (thank god).I'm going to start a thread with my whole set up and ask some of the more experiance guys for advice i may ad ozone i heard its like prozak for your fish?

Good deal i always wanted a tank that size but didnt want an entire closet dedicated to filtration. I saw 1 other thread of a guy with a 450 and everything under the stand.
