I keep my Gigantea in my 29g under a 250w Halide and 65w PC with lots of flow, massive skimming and regular water changes.
It's happy, healthy and hosted by a couple of Occs. I don't feed it much because I don't want it to grow too quickly.
Having said all that, keeping a Gigantea in a 29g was a pretty dumb thing to do in the first place,,, I should definitely invest in a larger tank. I think a 40 breeder w 2x250w halides would be the reasonable minimum ,, and a 120 with 400 watters would be just about right.
