Gill Disease

Hello everyone. I got a New Pair of Platinum Clownfish. I think that one of them has Gill disease. What would be the best treatment for this? He is breathing rapidly and not moving much. I spoke with a LFS and they said that it was Gill disease. They have me treating my tank water in my display tank. I would like to hear what everyone on here has to say? What should i be treating with? What is the likely hood that this fish is going to make it through this? It seems to be only to one gill.

I have never heard of "Gill Disease''. Most common parasites affect the gills; we need more inf to pin it down. can you post a pic? Any other symptoms; spots, skin problems, not feeding, behavior, etc.?

It has one spot on the right side up by his eye. No other symptoms beside that he acts like he's swimming a marathon open mouth breathing. He only looks affected on one side which is the right side. I started treating him with a water additive that you put into your aquarium. I changes out all of my R/O filters thinking that it could have something to do with bad water quality. Appetite is still great! Doesnt seem to be stressed out. The other clown with him is totally fine. What could this be?

Really not enough info to know. Possibly a parasite. Is he scratching on anything? What ''water treatment" are you using; most can't really be overdosed---but do nothing for the condition you describe.
Flukes could be the cause; I'd treat with Prazi-Pro; you may get lucky. PP is a very safe worm med and I think it should be used on all fish anyhow.
