Glass or acrylic?

Kind oof a strange question, but...

I have a buddy with a 2 year old and a 1 year old. He wants to get back into the hobby and is looking for a corner tank. Most likely around 40 galons or so.

Which is more DURABLE/crazy 2 year old friendly?

Glass or acrylic?

Thanks!

I am never going to get an acrilic aquariam, I think they are two easy to scratch.

-that being said-

The problem with this question is it is sort-of double sided, although acrilic would hold up better if the kids were to throw something hard (like a pool ball) at it, however they will almost certanly scratch it.

How crazy are these kids?

If safety is #1, then acrylic is the way to go. I personally will never buy acrylic, then again I dont have a 2 year old. :)

acrylic. I have a acrylic tank now and scratching is just a matter of cleaning it right. I dont know why people always complain about scratches. Just be careful.

glass, acrylic will not only scratch, but will haze over time, do to micro scratches that arent buffed out from the inside. acrylic once and u'll never go back :)

I service a 3,000 gallon acrylic tank and I can tell you without a doubt I will never sell or buy an acrylic tank. The amount of scratching that builds up over time from the fish not to mention towards the bottom where the sand is gets pretty ugly and collects that hard algae you can't just scrub off. We have to use very fine grit sand paper to get the scratches out on the inside. It is a massive painintheass.

My 3 and 4 boys race cars on my acrylic tank. Don't need me to tell you what happen right??? :(

My next tank will be glass. I think glass is a lot stronger than people think.
