glass suction cups

This is probably a silly question but i really need an answer for it. Im going to be moving a 180 glass tank. Its 3/4" glass and weighs in the neighborhood of 400-450 #'s. It took 5 guys to move it comfortably. Now to the question, i bought some of those glass suction cups to move this thing onto the stand. 1 of them says it can handle UP to 150 #'s. Would 4 of them take the weight off another? Can these 4 handle 600#'s? Has anyone used them and what size tank did you move? My problem is the tank sets into the stand and its sitting on carpet so its going to have to be dropped into the stand. I just dont want 1 too let go. TIA

Hi I work with glass; in the industry we limit ourselves to 75 lbs per man. (Safety issues)
However in very rear occasions we will push 100 lbs per man. The steal suction cups will take more weight then the plastic ones. I have and would use lanyards (straps) to move it, and then use cups to position it. And remember there is no substitute for extra men power. Getting 2 extra guys will dramatically divides the weight. Remember you can't replace a spine!
