Gluing Ricordia

Can I crazy glue a ricordia florida directly to a rock or do I have to wait for it to attach to something first? Is the red thing underneat it, its foot or something it has already attached to?

Gluing mushrooms, including ricordeas, does not work. They'll secrete slime and slide right off it. You have to make its foot attach to something (usually rock) first, then you can glue the rock where you want it.

grab yourself some nylon mesh, rubberband and a live rock

stick ur mushroom on the rock and lay over the mesh and then rubberband it. with in a couple of days to a couple of weeks the shroom should attach it self

I here alot of people saying that they have problems glueing rics....I have done it a million times and never had a prob...Even yumas.....What kind of glue are u using......

I tried to glue my rics about 5 or 6 times before I gave up - the slime would make it slide right off. Now I use the mesh that comes with onions and a small rubberband to attach it to a rock or piece of reef-rubble.

I just let the attach by themselve. I've never had any luck gluing. On the other hand I only tried a few times and got discouraged.

They might have been in to high of a current.....but the mesh idea is a good one..
