could a goatfish get by in a pred tank ?if not what do you guys use as a cleaner in a predatory tank?(besides yourselfs)

thnx:)

It matters the predators. I have done it before, but it really depends on the other fish you have.....what will they be?

one of everything:D , well I have a baby miniatus grouper and I was thinking of adding a dragon wrass, trigger(huma or niger or pink tail)and a puffer(dogface or spiney).something like that and subject to change:rollface:

Oddly other fish tend to leave the goatfish alone unless they are real tyrants....the kind of tyrants that pick on everyone. Just don't put a 3" goatfish into a tank with a full size puffer/trigger. If you can match size somewhat closely you should be okay.

now thats more my thinking:)

No, I think a 6" goat is what is needed.....the smaller ones will totally get tagged, even 4" isn't big enough. Groupers and some wrasses and tangs will chase that long juicy tail they have...Triggers, not so much unless they are punks. I think that big hermits do a better job if you are not going to have shrooms and other reefish items in there....I will include some pics of the ones I've had...
