goby compatability

Can you keep a mandarin goby in a tank with a diamond goby? I currently have a diamond goby and 2 false percs. Can I add a mandarin? I want to be sure so I don't make a mistake. Thanks!

In your 29G tank? I don't think anyone will advise you to put a mandarin in a tank that small. They rarely accept prepared food and will rely on pods to survive. A tank that small will not be able to support one long term.

Yes, in the 29 gallon. I appreciate the imput, as I don't want to cause harm. I do have a refugium that is well stocked with pods. I had also read (but have no experience) that mandarins will take artic pods which are available at my LFS. However, if it is unadvised, I won't do it.

By the way, nice photos! I checked your red house that you refference in your interest line. I am a photographer wanna be and have joined a local nature photography club. I am trying to hone my skills by taking numerous classes. I have tried a few times to take pictures of my tank but even using a tripod I have not achieved the clarity and crispness of your photos. I now have a new bar to reach.

Thanks for the comments on my pictures, I appreciate that. As for the goby, most people will recommend a mature 90G+ tank so the pods will have a chance to keep a Mandarin well fed. Good choice to pass one up, it's better to make sure you can provide an acceptable environment rather than watch one wither away.
