Gold toch polyp question

I have a aussie gold torch for a couple months now and I have noticed that some of the polyps for are a little thinner and and starting to deform a little bit like growing tips half way up the polyp. When I first got them they were fat polyps and perfect looking now a few along the base started to curl I think that may be because to much so I turned it down a bit what what bothers me most is the dimples, pimples, and thin and fat spots on the polyps water is where it should be but I don't a magusium tested so not sure of that temp is at 78 what can I do to bring them back to fat good looking polyps again?
