Gold torch beat up by clown

I had to do a 4 day blackout and while the tank was dark my clown hosted my favorite gold torch. Normally it hosts the torch or some of my other coral and they do fine with it, however since the torch was retracted the entire time the clown managed to bump against it so much that the flesh tore away from the skeleton in a few places. The flesh is just flapping in the water and I wanted to know if it would be posssible for it to recover. Does flesh grow back over the exposed skeleton or will those damaged heads begin to die off?

The clown made a new home. Clownfish often associate with corals, some of which are damaged, some totally destroyed.
