Hey guys, i came across a really nice specimen.. Does anybody have one with coral (SPS) and clams?

How do they behave around them? Id hate to buy him and have to ditch him later for bad behavior..

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Picture for reference.

They are like all pgymy's its the lucky draw.

From my experience if they are fed well they tend to ignore the coral. Also watch exactly what they are picking. It may look like a coral is being picked but in reality it could be the sponge on the liverock under the coral ( natural food source for angels)

The Golden's are really nice fish though.

That fish is absolutely gorgeous! I've never seen that before. Thank you for sharing. If I might ask, how much are they asking for a fish like that?

I've had one with both clams and sps and there were no issues, I also had a lot of sponge in my tank that it ate, as well as mysis. They are usually shy, most people who saw mine commented that it was not as shy as others they'd seen and it was out in the open maybe 50% of the time.

Nookie - they usually run around $100, give or take $20.

Clown, just saw your post - $200 is high! Even marine center sells them for $150 and they are usually on the high end of the price range.

Thanks for the replies!

Price wise i was going by the MC's with shipping. I came across a really good deal, but wanted to know any feedback from you guys..

I've never had a golden pygmy but all others I've had - flame, flameback (african and brazilian) - never bothered my corals or clams. Make sure to feed the fish regularly though.
