those are wicked looking. does anything host them (i think my clown likes mine) and what luck have you had with them?

Nothing hosts them, I have an anemone for the clowns. Only had these for a month. I'm told the Aussie specimens do better. Fingers crossed.

I have a pink one just like Rokle's. It is slowly slipping away.

RokleM that looks alot like a gonniopora frag my LFS just got in, its covering a 1" frag disk for $65 and looks healthy. This sound like an OK deal to you? How long have you had that guy, looks like alot of growth.

Cost is relative. What's $20 here could be $200 there and vice versa. Personally if anyone is going to try a goni, I'd get the ORA propagated ones that are available in both red and green. Not pushing ORA, and although they might be slightly more expensive... at least they have at track record of active captive propagation with minimal feeding. I had the red one for about two years, grew probably 50% in size.

And again, if you have ANYTHING hosting these, anything kicking sand on them, etc... they are pretty much almost guaranteed to be doomed for a short life. Keep sand and critters off of them.
