goniopora feeding advice

I'm new here and fairly new to the reef hobby. I've had a nice goniopora for about 5-6 months. When I 1st purchased it the tenacles were very long, and stayed extended usually the entire time my lights are on. Now I've noticed in the past month and a half that it doesn't extend as far or as often. I read an article tonight on goniopora.org that provided some helpful information, but was curious if anyone had any good feeding recomendations to keep my goniopora from starving. I was told when I purchased it that it was very easy to care for and very hardy. Now everything I've read leads me to believe they are next to impossible to keep for an extended period in a home reef system. Any advice is greaty appreciated. I hope mine isn't starving. Thats the last thing I want in my aquarium is for something to starve to death.

Thanks in advance,
Shawn
