good brand coral dip?

A fresh water or high salinity dip would be fine and QTing any new addition is best. useing iodine can be harmfull if not used right and collect in time causing higher then wanted iodine readings in the main tank.

A freshwater dip for corals? Where in the world have you heard about this? I'd like to see the reference.

I would not recommend a FW dip for corals, epically SPS! I use Pro Coral Cure. Can be found many places online. I've had corals in the solution for up to an hour with out any issues. red bugs, best to get your hands on some interceptor and for AEFW I've had luck with fluke worm tabs. Those later two I'd only use if you develop the issues and make sure you use them in a separate tank.

So Pro Coral Cure should be fine? is there anything else i should use to treat new corals?

yes it will be fine.... i use TMPCC and Loguls

TLF's ReVive is getting a lot of good press too these days in terms of really getting flatworms though admittedly it's only for stony corals and it probably doesn't do anything for red bugs. Otherwise, TMPCC as otherwise recommended (which appears to be another form of Lugol's - iodine based dip) and Interceptor for red bugs.

The fresh water dip would release flat worms so i guess it would work on others. But you would see red bugs. The dip is more for any LR its attatched to. LFS tanks hold many unwanted hitchhickers and this would drive them out. Its non aggresive and only an extra measure. Then the QT will let any straglers come out and or hatch.
And iodine dip would be a good idea if you see something. But useing it everytime may add unwanted iodine in the display tank..

If you have 2 or 3 or more yrs of time and money invested then a simple freash water dip doesnt sound so bad .

I removed flatworms of an SPS i got from online vender and it worked great.
Please reserve your comments about me to your self and just add a repley helping.

Then it didnt do Nothing. Whats the big deal going the extra step with perhaps thousands of dollars on the line. Its not bad not to use some chemical that maynot even be needed.
I just believe additives should only be used as a last resort. I have a great reef tank and never add any additives and dont want to. My post was based on experiance and research and i didnt give terrible advice, just advice you dont agree with.
