I blame myself. I quit using egg crate on the back of my tank 2 days ago because it was in the way of the skimmer. I noticed my female clarkii clownfish was missing when I left this morning, didn't think much of it, she is always in caves or hiding in the great big sebae anemone. well during tonights feeding she was no where to be found. I began to worry. no signs of her on the sides or infront of the tank, so all thats left was the back, and I was really scared to look. I pulled back the sheet covering the stand to find what I was afraid of. a dry female clarkii clownfish Really was one of my favorite fish, lots of personality. would greet me every time I did maintainence on the tank. Good bye old friend. I'll miss you. let this be a freakin less to me and you, a sheet of egg crate is $10, and if I had modded my cover I could've gotten it to work. Is $10 worth the life of your fish? I'm asking myself that very question right now.

I leaned my lesson long ago with my diamond goby. He jumped too. Sucks to lose a fish from something as silly as eggrate. Sorry for your loss.

truth be told she WAS alittle bit of a bully in my tank, and I'm not looking for simpathy here really, just trying to stress that people go and buy a $10 sheet of eggcrate so there fish don't go carpet surfing. I didn't think it'd happen to me and look at me now.
