good pump for TLF Phosban Reactor?

Hey guys,

Was wondering what a good pump to pair with the TLF phosban reactor is? I got 2 of them since I've got ~350 gallons. Is it a good idea to run both on the same pump, or should I get 2 smaller pumps for ~40-50gph?

Thanks,
Ryan

thanks guys I got 2 of the 404s from DrFS

also got 2 maxijet 600's. One will provide additional flow in the frag tank, the other will be my mixing powerhead for the 50G mixing tank. hopefully it will be enough.

What ever pump your currently using for your return :)

"T" it off and use a ball valve. Save yourself an extra pump.

I was considering T'ing off my return, taking out my reactor and adding a dual cannister filter, containing phos/carbon and mechanical filter

i run mine off a mini 404 as well.

i lost the cover with the flow adjustment so a ball valve is run after the pump.

I have T'd my phosban reactor and chiller off the return. Saves extra pumps, electricity, and heat. Plus, two less pieces of equiptment to worry about cleaning or malfunctioning. If your return pump fails you have much bigger things to worry about ;)

I just recently did the same thing, and I got one MAG 4 and split the output... then used the ball valve's that came with the reactors and turned the flow down... been working great...

haha this seems like a pretty even split between people using 404 (or comparable) and T'ing off the return line.

Can somebody post a pic of the correct way to plumb it off the return? Do you need a ball valve on the return itself to force water to go into the T?

would have to agree...hooked one up yesterday and got a mini 404, works PERFECTLY with 150g of phosban in it with about 2.5 feet of hose going from the pump into the reactor...i liked it so much i just purchased a whole extra reactor/pump for carbon
