Good quiet DC pump for a 75 gallon ?

Looking to set up a 75 in the bedroom... Need a quite pump . I know DC pumps are more expensive , but what would be a good pump for the money ? Don't need the best but don't want a bad one either . I had a speedwave on a 40 in the past and was decent, but didn't know if anyone found negatives on them yet.

I've been running a jebao dct1200 as my return pump for 5 months. Dead quiet and I have a wooden stand.

Jebao DC3000 would be appropriate for your size tank. Mine is uber quiet (it wasn't for about the first 3-4 days), love the controller and the soft start feature.

I have had a DC3000 running on a 65g for a about a year. Silent, efficient, and reliable so far. I am happt enough with it that I ordered a DC2000 for my newest build.

I have the Jebao DC6000 on my 75g ( 100g total w/sump). I like the slow start feature and it runs silent. But, with the new EcoTech pumps being released soon I'll probably get that and use the Jabeo as a back up.

I also second the Jebao DC pumps. They are cheap, quiet, and efficent. I've been running the largest model they offer on my 75g with a 35g frag tank plumbed into it. I never go above the second speed setting and it's more then enough flow for pumping to two separate systems.

Take a look at the Vertex pumps. They're not DC - but wow! I've never heard a more quiet return pump. I've got a V6 on my tank after looking for a DC return pump and not finding one that was well reviewed and could pump what I needed.

BRS carries the Vertex pump line.

Thanks for all the replies . I'll look at all of them . I will probably go Jebao if nobody has any thing bad to say . Sounds like a decent pump based on the replies ! Quiet is definitely key, although slow start up would be nice as well

The feed button is nice as well, one less thing you need a $500 Apex for!

As I mentioned though, if you get one, don't freak out if it sounds a bit obnoxious when you first plug it in. Mine did, and I would have returned it if it didn't quiet down a HUGE amount in the first 2-3 days.

I also cut up an OXO silicone dish drying mat and placed it under and around the sides of the pump, as well as used 12" of flex tubing to connect the pump to my plumbing. Uber quiet.
