Good small school fish?????

cromis are popluar choice but they might slowly kill each other off
longspine cardinals are my favorite ones

Longspine cardinals are excellent. Over time, they will pair off and not shoal except at night if you have a moonlight. No fish will truly "school" in our size aquaria. Some will loosely shoal.

Have 5 differnt schools of fish in my tank. personally believe they will continue to weed out the weakest in the school. from time to time I just pick up more to replace those lost. Just adding 1 want cut it they will probably kill it. Always get as large as possible and add at least 3 or 4 at a time

What type of fish??? do you have any pictures?

started with 8 green chromis.. 3 were killed off.
started with 4 lyretails anthias. 1 was killed (these fish don't actually school)

schoolers tend to kill eachother alot

I have a school of red dot cardinals but I bought 8 and I'm down to four 3 did not make it here and now I'm starting to think they killed the 1 that died. I've only had them for 2 days now

Coral catfish (Plotosus lineatus) school VERY tight. I don't know how large they get, but NY Aquarium in Cony Island had a bunch when I worked there a hundred years ago and they never got bigger than 4 inches.

catfish gets up to 12inches according to the website i am looking at. They will school when small but will lose that behavior when older.

Not a schooling fish but my 5 Royal Grammas hang out together and make a spectacular display. I had one that was 3 years old and added it to my 280 gal tank along with four small ones. One of the small ones grew even bigger than my original one and seems to be a male and the rest are female (I think). I plan on adding 8 more to my 367 gallon tank. I will make sure they are smaller than my current ones and then they will all be added at once.

I just took some pics but I haven't uploaded them yet. I'll try to get to it tomorrow.
