Good supply of crabs n' such

I am thinking about just setting up a little tank for crabs and/shrimp to feed my Mantis that i'm getting soon. Can I just use crabs and thing that I catch on the beach becuase there are hundreds of crabs on the beach at night.

My O. latirostris loves shore shrimp and my G. smithii loves fiddler crabs... so I'd say go for it!

be careful of where you hunt though. think about pollution. I would collect from as pristine a location as you can possibly access and get a bunch at a time. Setup a simple quarantine tank to leave them in to await their doom. It would also be a good idea to let the crabs sit in quarantine for a couple weeks to flush out any bad stuff in their systems.
