got a used tank will it cycle or not?

I picked up a tank last week from a guy that had his MH lights stick on for a few days and it killed almost everything he had. He kept the tank running and heated but had no lights on it for a couple of months. He said that he did a few water changes but that was it. We drained the tank and put the rock and sand in trash cans. The rock and sand were under water the whole time. I set the tank up and have been testing the water and it all looks good.

What do you all think? Is it good to go or should I wait another week?

In this hobby patience is the key. Just give it another week or two that way you can be sure everythings settled in ok. An unexpected ammonia or nitrite spike it no fun.
