Got Sand?

Hello and thank you in advance

This is my second post and hopefully I don't get hazed again like my first post.

My "live sand" keeps getting algae on them, not a lot...... just enough where it bugs me........ the reason being is because every time I go to the LFS their "live sand" is SO CLEAN and every time I look at some of the members pics..... it's SO CLEAN!!!!!

My question is, how do you keep it SO CLEAN? I've got the clean-up crew, what else do I need? Sand shifters? Goby? Stars?

How long has your tank been running?
How much flow do you have in the tank?
How big of a tank?

Sorry you had a problem with your 1st posting
My sand goes back & forth..sometimes really clean...sometimes not

My tank has been running for about4 months now and it is a 72 gallon bow front with 100 lbs. of live rocks. I have a built in over flow with 2 400gpm powerhead facing towards each other. I'm not sure if thats enough i'm thinking of getting another powerhead or at least another stronger one. what do you think?
