Got some LR with a brown encrusting monti on it.

about a 3"x5" patch. Only problem is that the rock was meant to go on the top of the tank, about 4" from 270w of T5 lighting. Should I dremel it off and place it lower or will it do ok with that kind of lighting and strong flow?

I think it will do fine but watch the coral. If it starts to lighten up then you need to do the dremmil thing.

i have one that is brown with purple polyps.. what would it be if it is??

you could just start the whole rock lower in the tank and move up through the acclimation process

and i have one that is brown with green polyps i just got 2 days ago and i already dont want it anymore..lol
