gracilaria and chaeto

Is it possible to grow both red gracilaria and chaeto is the same fuge??
Do they have to be separated??

Will one take over the other??

i have both in my fuge and they both compete for light. in my case the chaeto is towards the bottom of the fuge, and the gracilaria grows up the glass and across top of the water, shadowing the chaeto.

oops just realized my fuge has cheato and sargassum, not gracilaria.
