grape caulerpa

Ok Everyone I'm having trouble.
I have an excessive growth of grape caulerpa all of a sudden in one of my tanks.
do you think I should try pulling some of it out or will that make it worse? A
lso, what do you think about adding an emerald crab to the tank?

I read that sometimes they will eat it....

I have the same problem and it only appeared after I noticed that I no longer had a live emerald crab, I cannot say for sure if manual removal will be bad but it is how I have been doing it until I get another couple crabs.
