Great Customer Service

I have a pair of MP40's that have been in my system since October 2014. Last weekend I noticed that one prop was barely moving and the other was not moving at all. I took the wet sides apart to clean them and found that one would barely spin by hand (even after cleaning) and the other had a broken shaft. I went to the EcoTech website and completed the paperwork for returning for service and received authorizations in minutes.

I was busy on Monday so I didn't get to UPS until Tuesday to ship them back. They arrived at EcoTech on Wednesday. Thursday morning, Tim from customer service called and told me that he had checked out the units and he didn't understand why the wet sides had failed however they would be replaced under warranty. He also stated "our shipping department is very busy right now but I'm going to do whatever I can to get these shipped out today". Both units along with new wet sides were at my house yesterday! My total cost was the cost of shipping the units back ($19).

Awesome job Ecotech - thanks!!

One of the two wet sides is VERY noisy. This wet side will not stay put.... I like to orient the wet side with the solid section facing up. After a day of operation this noisy wet side rotates 180 degree so the solid section is facing the sand.

I had the spacer at 3/8" (matches the glass on my AGA 120) and this happened. I changed the spacer to 1/2" to try and get more "grip" and the rotation still happens.

I turned the pump off before leaving for work this morning.

I spent way too much money on these to have these issues.

Thanks for your help.

Laf,

Changing the pin spacer setting to 1/2 inch can seriously damage your wetside. That said, I would recommend removing running the pump in constant mode. Start at a low speed and gradually increase the speed over the course of a week. If you continue to have issues at that point, please contact me directly. Service@ecotechmarine.com Attn: Alex
