Great Stuff Foam Question

I have heard that you must seal it because the light will make it fall apart. I want to use it to cover up a filter in my turtle tank. Can I just spray paint it to seal it. It is only freshwater. I am going to make it look like a tree so I will paint it. Will this work?

Not really sure but I won't spray paint it!!! Turtles have sharp nails that will definitely scratch away a thin layer of spray paint and will cause it to fall apart anyway! Not to mention whatever is absorbed into the water they will be drinking, will get in their eyes and they'll be living in. Why not just use some of the green epoxy 2 part clay (magic putty) and bond some rocks into the shape or design you are looking for?

Did not think about that but I can also use the pond foam that is black. I know it is UV resistant and will not fall apart. It is just black so I need to put some sand on it to make it a more realistic.

iF YOUR GONA DO IT YOU CAN GET A LITTLE BIT OF RESIN FROM ANY AUTO PART STORE FROM THE PAINT AND BODY ISLE. tHIS WAY IF YOU PAINT IT EITHER WAY WHNE YOU PUT THE RESIN ON IT YOU CAN ADD SOME SAND OR WHATEVER IF YOU WANT TO.
