green brain

I've had this green brain for about a month and it seems to be doing well. The color is vibrant, it eats well and opens nicely. My question is about the dark areas around the edges. Is this normal or a sign of distress? These areas are not always visible or in the same place. Thanks for any input!

It appears to just be natural coloration variances in the tissue. The changing location and visibility is probably just a result of tissue expansion and retraction.

The color is vibrant, it eats well and opens nicely.

I'd say you have nothing to worry about, then.

Pretty sure that is normal i have had ones like that and they have been that way for years.
