Green BTA Help

I have a green BTA that has been in the tank for over a year. In the beginning, it moved a lot but finally found his home. He stayed put until just this week. Earlier this week, I noticed he was staying closed quite often. And finally, he started moving. Still closed up, he hasn't moved in two days. Take a look at the pics... I am about to go out of town for two weeks and will have someone caring for the tank while I am gone, but if the BTA dies, this person isn't capable of removing it. Soooo....any suggestions on what I should do?

The tank is a 30-gallon BioCube that has been up and running for four years.

My nem will do that from time to time. it doesn't move but it closes up, sometimes for a couple days. It has always bounced back. I wouldn't worry unless it is melting or rolling around on the sand.
