green bubble anemone

First anemone so no experience. I rec'd a green bubble anemone on the 1st, and it was green. First night it closed up, and when it began to open there was a blackish-red stuff coming out of the hole. Today it's fully extended, but it's not green - well it's green at the base of the tentacles, but then becomes pinkish-brown. What's going on? My lights lean toward the blue/purple/aqua spectrum w/only one daylight. Advise please. Thanks.

It was probably just emitting waste, not zooxanthellae algae. I think your anemone could either be adjusting to your lights. Different lighting can enhance some colors and also dull them out. Try feeding it a small piece of fish or shrimp and see if it reacts.

How long has your tank been established by the way?
