Green Bubble Tip Anemone

I am very new to anemones and I just want to make sure that what I am doing is correct. My anemone came pre-attached to a rock and hasn't moved from where I placed it 2 weeks ago. I feed it every other day a nickel sized portion of mysis shrimp or brine shrimp. Here is my question. Before my lights come on the BTA is like 6"-7" across, and it's tenticales are long and skinny, when the lights come on it shrinks a couple of inches and the tentacles get bubble tips. Is this normal? Is there anything else that I can do to help the BTA? I do have 2 oscellaris clowns but they have hosted a pom pom xenia and don't want anything to do with the anemone.... yet.....

if its not moved it is likely to be fine.
If it has a light colouration the it may be acclimating to the light so thats why its small in the daytime.
If it is taking food its also a good sign.

the clowns will host if and when they want to.

In the mornings when it is big it appear to be a light brown color, and when the lights come on it is green.

The lights are probably just accentuating the green color, especially if you're using actinics. It sounds like your anemone is probably doing fairly well. They'll generally start moving around if they're unhappy, though there are certainly different levels of happiness. Mysis isn't bad to feed it, but I wouldn't bother feeding brine shrimp. They're just not very nutritious. I like to feed mine a bit of a variety. It gulps down silversides and shrimp, but doesn't seem overly excited about krill. Also, anytime I buy fresh fish, I'll cut off a chunk for the anemone. He seems pretty happy with anything I pick up. . .grouper, snapper, mahi mahi, tuna, etc.

What kind of lighting do you have by the way? The better the lighting, the less you should need to feed him. Mine doesn't seem too fond of bright lighting, but still has very good coloration, so I feed him a couple times a week and don't worry about his chosen position on the bottom of the tank in the shade of an overhang.

I have 2- 250w MH with Pheonix 14k bulbs and 2- 54w T5's (6500k bulb and a pure actnic bulb) The anemone is about in the middle of the tank with very bright light shining on him. Maybe I will pick up some silversides and see if he likes those.

Most people have pretty good luck with silversides. It sounds like you have plenty of light. As a matter of fact, the anemone may just still be acclimating to that amount of lighting. I'd guess if he really didn't like it he'd move.

If it's not moving, it is doing great. Keep doing what you're doing.

I agree, my RBTA stretches for the 150w HQI 10k bulb it sits below. Silversides are my top choice of anemone food.
