Green bubble tip

Hey everybody, on Monday I purchased a green bubble tip. I temp acclimated him in bag for about 30-45 mins, and then drip acclimated him for a little over an hour. I turned off my gyre and slowed my return pump down to level 1(jebao) , and placed him in a nice little crevice where he has not moved from and seems to be extremely happy during the day when the lights are on.

BUTTTTTT when my white (day) LEDs switch over to blues in the evening/night he starts to close up and have a very open mouth until the morning time when the lights ramp back up and then he looks as good as new...?

I am curious to know if this is normal or not. I have read through some forums and people say theirs does the same and then some people say they've had a bubble tip die within 24 hours of seeing this, but I am on day 3 and see no declining in his health.

His foot has not once let go and has been secured nice in the rock work.

Any help would be appreciated I am just a little curious. Thanks!

I've had bubble tips for over 15 years. Never lost a one. They will change shape and close up from time to time. If they don't like the lighting or the spot they're in, they will move until they are comfortable.

If is deflating every night, it is a problem. I had two bubble tips that used to do what you just described and then eventually die.

Maybe you can treat it with Cipro... I'm not sure. I'll recommend you to copy and paste your question in the Anemone Forum.

Thanks! Will do that right now
