Green Carpet Anemone

I had one for about two years until I sold it. I was also propagating bubbles awhile back both green and reds. The green carpet I had loved eating clowns and any other fish it could catch. I would feed it silver sides and it live high in my tank in a rock. Even through I was told they stay on the sand. It was well over a foot when expanded. If you get a healthy one they can and do live for years. What is the problem? Also notice I said a healthy. If they are faded or their foot is damaged, etc. that is when you have problems.

Wow Joe...it ATE your clowns? I thought those things hosted clowns.

I've always loved carpet anemones but I heard they have poor survivorship in tanks.

Yes Mel, He/she hosted them for Lunch and Dinner. He/she really liked the cinnamons for breakfast :) .

The greens IMO are your best bet at least for me. The Blues are very hard to keep alive for any length of time but I am sure someone has done it.

I had mine when I lived in FL and got it from a LFS. I ordered it from him and stated I wanted him to go and hand pick it and then leave it in the store for a week before I picked it up. Boy those were the days. That store must have had some kind of devise that new exactly how much money I had in my pocket. No matter when I went there If I had $700.00 I would spend exactly $700.00 if I had $1000.00 I would spend $1000.00 One time I took Marie and asked her to hold my money believe it or not I didn't see anything I wanted that day and didn't buy anything ;)

It was here or another site....can't remember. Someone had a carpet anemone and it ate there yellow tang. They had a picture of it. It's been awhile, might have been a photoshop job or somethin'. I don't know... I was at petland last night. They had a blue carpet anemone (i think it was blue, might have been green, didnt really pay attention). Peppermint shrimp that was marked $8 but when I went to pay they rang up for $5. They are suppose to be getting a shipment in today...
