Well my luck ran out with my green chromis. I posted a while ago about a chromis with a red wound. It completly healed up in my QT while in copper. A second chromis got a similar wound and also healed up while in QT. Fast forward to them in my main tank now a couple weeks after completing a 4 wk QT. The Chromis that had the first spot all of a sudden lost the top half of his tail fin with a red looking wound at the base. It was dead the next day. I had a nasty red eye hitchhicker crab in the tank and thought maybe it was him but I caught him out and another one of the chromis had a slight red wound line on the side of his body and over the next day it looked worse and then he was dead. My question is does this sound like a bacterial infection from a wound getting infected and is this something that chromis are just more prone to and hopefully not something that will spread to my other fish. It's taken alot to QT all my fish with copper and FW dips. Is ther something else routine to treat for while in a preventative QT.
Thanks
