Green Millepora with Purple Tips.....

I'm fairly new to the SPS world and picked up this aqua cultured colony at my LFS this past weekend.

Once acclimated; I noticed that the small green millepora had purple tips. I understand that there are countless variations and morphs. I'm just curious as to whether or not anyone else has come across this combination. How common is this piece?

Since I'm fairly new to SPS; I'm not well versed on the 'designer' names (nor do I generally follow designer coral names) and I haven't encountered this combination yet.

Pics taken with a camera phone. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

No probs. Thanks. lol Sharing is what it's about. My camera work has always been horrid though. Cheers.

Thanks. I think the key for me is to keep it alive first, and then allow it to flourish before even contemplating of fragging it. ;) I've been fairly successful with LPS....SPS is a new step. Cheers.

I can't see the picture but I think the Tommy knockers Is close to what you said. The best pic I have seen from a reefers tank is a green with purplish tips.

Those may just be growth tips, they'll eventually transition to another color.
Usually happens with most maricultured corals.
