I have a green montipora digitata that I got from the divers den about a month or so ago. During shipping a couple of the tips got broken but the main piece was fine. It is coloring up very nicely and it seems there is new growth nubs starting(about 1/4 to 1/2 inch in length) at the very tip of the new growth its starting to get dark red and I was wondering if this is normal? Its hard to get a pic where I have it positioned but its got great polyp extension and color so I dont want to move it really. Its just the very tips are dark red and I was wondering if that was normal?
